From assembly to testing, every product goes through strict quality control before shipment. Reliable Production · Stable Quality · Fast Delivery
FARHD – Video Intercom Manufacturer Since 1998.
Every FARHD video intercom that reaches your doorstep has travelled a long journey – from raw materials to precision assembly, through rigorous testing, and finally to careful packaging. Behind every unit is a story of engineering discipline, quality obsession, and decades of manufacturing experience.
Today, we invite you to step inside the FARHD factory and see how we turn components into reliable, long‑lasting video intercom systems. This is not just a production line – it is a quality assurance system that has been refined over 25 years.
From Component to Finished Product – A Journey of Precision
Our factory operates on a simple principle: quality cannot be inspected into a product; it must be built into it. That is why every step of our manufacturing process is carefully controlled, documented, and verified.
1. SMT & PCB Assembly – The Foundation of Every Device
Everything starts with the printed circuit board (PCB) – the “brain” of every intercom. Our SMT (Surface Mount Technology) lines place thousands of tiny components with micron‑level precision:
- Automated pick‑and‑place machines – ensure consistent, accurate placement of resistors, capacitors, and ICs.
- AOI (Automatische Optische Inspectie) – checks every solder joint and component placement for defects.
- ICT (In‑Circuit Testing) – verifies electrical performance before the PCB moves to the next stage.
This level of precision ensures that every FARHD intercom has a reliable foundation – no cold solder joints, no misplaced components.
2. Injection Molding & Housing Production – Built to Last
Our injection molding workshop produces high‑quality housings for outdoor stations and indoor monitors:
- High‑grade ABS plastic – UV‑stable, impact‑resistant, and designed for long‑term outdoor exposure.
- Aluminiumlegering – for premium models, offering superior corrosion resistance and a premium feel.
- Precision molds – developed in‑house, ensuring consistent fit and finish across thousands of units.
Each housing is inspected for surface finish, dimensional accuracy, and structural integrity before moving to assembly.
3. Final Assembly – Skilled Hands, Rigorous Standards
Our assembly lines combine automated processes with skilled technicians:
- Camera module mounting – precise alignment of the lens and IR LEDs.
- Screen installation – careful bonding of IPS touchscreens to glass lenses.
- Button assembly – tactile testing of every direct‑press button.
- Cable connection – secure wiring of all internal connections.
Each workstation follows detailed work instructions, and operators perform visual checks before passing units to the next stage.
4. Functional Testing – Every Feature, Every Unit
Before any unit enters the aging room, it undergoes a comprehensive functional test:
- Power‑on check – Does the unit boot correctly?
- Camera test – Is the video clear? Does night vision switch on in low light?
- Audio test – Is the microphone picking up sound? Is the speaker clear and loud enough?
- Button / touchscreen test – Do all buttons respond? Is the touchscreen calibrated?
- Network test (for IP models) – Does the unit obtain an IP address? Can it communicate with a test indoor monitor or app?
Any unit that fails any of these tests is immediately pulled aside for rework. Our “zero‑defect” mindset prevents most problems from ever reaching the next stage.
5. Aging Room Test – Proving Reliability Under Stress
The most demanding part of our production line is the aging room test. Units are placed in a controlled chamber with:
- Elevated temperature – Up to +60°C (140°F)
- High humidity – Up to 95% RH
- Continuous operation – Simulated calls, video streaming, and unlocking cycles run 24/7 for 12 to 72 hours.
Why? Because short tests catch only obvious defects. The aging room accelerates time, exposing weak points that would otherwise become expensive field failures. Only units that complete the full test without a single fault – no video lag, no audio dropout, no call failure – are approved for packaging.
6. Final Inspection & Packaging – Ready for the World
After the aging test, each unit undergoes a final visual inspection:
- Screen condition – no scratches, no dust.
- Label accuracy – correct model numbers and specifications.
- Accessory completeness – all cables, brackets, and manuals are present.
Finally, each unit is carefully packaged in eco‑friendly, protective packaging – ready to be shipped to projects around the world.
Three Pillars of FARHD Manufacturing
✅ Reliable Production
With over 25 years of experience, our processes are mature, our operators are skilled, and our quality control systems are proven. We don’t rely on luck – we rely on systems that consistently deliver reliable products.
✅ Stable Quality
Quality is not a department – it is a culture. From incoming materials to outgoing shipments, every stage is controlled, documented, and monitored. Our ageing room, SMT lines, and testing equipment ensure that every unit meets the same high standard.
✅ Fast Delivery
We maintain a flexible production system that allows us to respond quickly to orders – whether you need a single sample or thousands of units for a large project. Our supply chain is robust, and our lead times are competitive.
Since 1998 – A Quarter Century of Manufacturing Excellence
FARHD was founded in 1998, and for over 25 years, we have been designing, engineering, and manufacturing video intercom systems. We have grown from a small workshop to a modern factory with advanced SMT lines, injection molding machines, and comprehensive testing facilities.
But some things have not changed: our commitment to quality, our dedication to customer satisfaction, and our belief that a great product is built – not just assembled.
