📦 Behind the Scenes|How Our New Visual Direct‑Press Outdoor Unit Is Made

2

From individual parts to finished product – every unit is carefully crafted. Take a look inside the production process of our new Visual Direct‑Press Outdoor Unit. Every step is “visible” to you.

At FARHD, we believe that great products are not just designed – they are engineered, assembled, and tested with obsessive attention to detail. Today, we are pulling back the curtain to show you how our new Visual Direct‑Press Outdoor Unit comes to life. From raw materials to the finished device that will protect your building’s entrance for years, every step is carefully managed, inspected, and perfected.

Let’s take a behind‑the‑scenes tour of our factory.

Step 1: Sourcing High‑Quality Components

Every great outdoor station starts with the right parts. We source:

  • Aluminum alloy and high‑grade ABS – for housings that resist corrosion, UV damage, and physical impact.
  • IPS glass screens (on visual models) – scratch‑resistant, bright, and clear.
  • 1080P 2MP camera modules – with wide dynamic range and IR night vision.
  • Weatherproof seals and connectors – to achieve IP65 rating.
  • Reliable electronic components – from trusted brands, ensuring long‑term stability.

Each component batch is inspected before it enters our production line.

Step 2: PCB Assembly & Firmware Loading

Our skilled technicians assemble the printed circuit boards (PCBs) using automated pick‑and‑place machines for precision. Then:

  • Firmware is loaded – the software that runs the two‑way audio, button logic, and video processing.
  • Initial testing – each PCB powers up and runs through a quick functional check.

For IP models, the network module and Tuya integration are configured at this stage.

Step 3: Housing Molding & Finishing

  • Injection molding – We use high‑precision molds to create the ABS and aluminum alloy housings.
  • Surface treatment – Aluminum parts undergo anodizing (for corrosion resistance and a premium matte finish). ABS parts are UV‑treated to prevent yellowing.
  • Rain cover attachment – The included metal or ABS rain cover is fitted and sealed.

Every housing is inspected for warping, scratches, or molding defects.

Step 4: Assembly – Bringing It All Together

This is where the outdoor unit takes its final form:

  • Camera and lens – carefully mounted and aligned.
  • Button module – Direct‑press buttons are installed (each one tested for tactile feel and durability). For visual models, the display and touch panel are integrated.
  • PCB insertion – The main board is placed inside the housing and connected to the camera, buttons, and speaker.
  • Sealing – Weatherproof gaskets are added, and the housing is closed with stainless steel screws.

Every screw is torqued to specification. No shortcuts.

Step 5: Rigorous Testing – Because “Built to Last” Is a Promise

A FARHD outdoor unit does not leave the factory until it has passed a series of demanding tests:

  • Camera & audio test – We place a test call to verify two‑way audio clarity, video sharpness, and button response.
  • IP65 water test – The unit is sprayed with water from all angles to ensure no ingress.
  • Temperature cycling – We simulate extreme conditions: -40°C for hours, then +70°C, checking for any failure.
  • Button endurance test – Direct‑press buttons are pressed thousands of times to confirm they will last years of daily use.
  • Network/PoE test (for IP models) – We verify stable connection, PoE power reception, and app pairing.

Only units that pass all tests are approved for packaging.

Step 6: Packaging & Final Inspection

The finished outdoor unit is carefully placed in eco‑friendly packaging with custom pulp trays. Each box includes:

  • The outdoor unit (with rain cover)
  • Mounting bracket and screws
  • Quick start guide and warranty card
  • (Optional) RFID cards, NFC tags

A final visual inspection ensures the box is complete and undamaged before it is sealed and labeled for shipping.

What Makes Our Visual Direct‑Press Outdoor Unit Special?

While the production process ensures quality, the product itself delivers where it matters:

✅ Clear Two‑Way Audio

High‑quality microphone and speaker with echo cancellation. Visitors and residents hear each other naturally – even in noisy environments.

✅ One‑Button Direct Press

No directories, no keypads, no confusion. Each button corresponds to one apartment (or office). Press the button, call the resident. Simple and fast.

✅ Built to Last

IP65 weatherproof, metal or ABS rain cover, wide operating temperature (-40°C to +70°C). This unit is designed for years of reliable service at your building entrance.

Bringing Peace of Mind Right to Your Doorstep

When you install a FARHD Visual Direct‑Press Outdoor Unit, you are not just buying a product – you are investing in a process. A process of careful material selection, precise assembly, and ruthless testing. That is how we ensure that every unit that reaches your building entrance works perfectly, day after day, year after year.
