From Our Production Line: Where Quality Is Engineered, Not Inspected In

3

At FARHD, we complete the whole process – assembly, wiring, debugging, and aging test – in‑house. Strict standards are applied at every step to guarantee reliable product quality.

It is one thing to design a great video intercom on paper. It is another to manufacture thousands of units that perform flawlessly in the real world – day after day, year after year. That is why FARHD keeps full control over our production line. From the moment a bare PCB arrives to the moment a finished indoor monitor or outdoor station is packed for shipping, every step happens under our own roof, under our own strict standards.

Today, we invite you to take a quick tour of our video intercom production line – and see why “Made by FARHD” means “Built to last.”

Assembly – Precision from the Start

Every product begins with high‑quality components: camera modules, LCD screens, PCBs, housings, connectors, and wiring. Our skilled technicians (assisted by automated pick‑and‑place machines for SMT components) assemble each unit with care.

  • Camera alignment – Each lens is precisely positioned to achieve the specified 115° or 130° wide‑angle view.
  • Screen mounting – IPS displays are carefully bonded to the glass lens (for full‑lamination models) to prevent dust ingress and ensure touch sensitivity.
  • Housing closure – Sealing gaskets are installed, and the housing is closed with stainless steel screws torqued to specification.

Every assembly step is guided by written work instructions, and operators perform visual checks before passing units to the next stage.

Wiring – Clean, Secure, and Reliable

For intercom systems, wiring is critical. Loose connections cause intermittent failures that are hard to diagnose in the field. Our wiring process includes:

  • Terminal block tightening – Each screw terminal is torqued to the correct value.
  • Cable routing – Internal wires are routed away from sharp edges and secured with clips to prevent chafing.
  • Plug‑and‑play connectors – For IP models, RJ45 connectors are crimped and tested for continuity.

Our goal: a unit that works perfectly when first installed and continues to work perfectly for years.

Debugging & Functional Testing – Catching Issues Early

Before any unit enters the aging room, it goes through a comprehensive functional test:

  • Power‑on check – Does the unit boot correctly?
  • Camera test – Is the video clear? Does night vision switch on in low light?
  • Audio test – Is the microphone picking up sound? Is the speaker clear and loud enough?
  • Button / touchscreen test – Do all buttons respond? Is the touchscreen calibrated?
  • Network test (for IP models) – Does the unit obtain an IP address? Can it communicate with a test indoor monitor or app?

Any unit that fails any of these tests is immediately pulled aside for rework or component replacement. This “zero‑defect” mindset prevents most problems from ever reaching the next stage.

Aging Test – Proving Reliability Under Stress

The most demanding part of our production line is the 72‑hour aging room test. Units are placed in a controlled chamber with:

  • Elevated temperature – Up to +60°C (140°F)
  • High humidity – Up to 95% RH
  • Continuous operation – Simulated calls, video streaming, and unlocking cycles run 24/7 for three full days.

Why 72 hours? Because short tests catch only obvious defects. Latent issues – a capacitor that drifts after heat cycling, a firmware memory leak, a seal that fails only after hours of humidity – only appear under sustained stress. The aging room accelerates time, exposing weak points that would otherwise become expensive field failures.

Only units that complete the full 72 hours without a single fault – no video lag, no audio dropout, no call failure, no unlock relay misfire – are approved for packaging.

Why In‑House Production Matters

Many brands outsource assembly to third‑party factories. That often means lower quality control, longer lead times, and less visibility into problems. By keeping everything in‑house:

  • We control the quality – Every unit is tested to the same FARHD standard.
  • We can respond quickly – If a component issue is discovered, we address it immediately, not after weeks of communication.
  • We continuously improve – Our engineers walk the production line daily, looking for ways to make processes more reliable and efficient.

This is not just a factory. It is our commitment to you.

See the Difference – Quality You Can Trust

The next time you install a FARHD video intercom – whether it is a simple 2‑wire audio system or a sophisticated IP face‑recognition door station – remember that it was not just assembled. It was engineered, wired, debugged, and aged in our own facility, under the watchful eyes of people who care about reliability as much as you do.
